INTRODUCTION TO CBSE
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a Board of Education for public and private schools under the Union Government of India. CBSE Affiliated schools follow NCERT curriculum. It is the first education board to be set up in India. CBSE conducts the examination for classes 10 & 12 every year in the month of March. The board conducts common entrance examinations like JEE (Joint Engineering Entrance), AIPMT (All India Pre-Medical Test) and many more. The board witnessed rapid growth and expansion at the level of Secondary Education resulting in improved quality and standard of education in institutions. Objectives of CBSE
- To define appropriate approaches to academic activities to provide stress-free, child-centered and holistic education to all children without comprising on quality.
- To encourage schools to document the progress of students in a teacher and student-friendly way.
- To fulfill the educational requirements of those students whose parents are employed in transferable jobs.
- To propose plans to achieve quality benchmarks in school education consistent with the National goals.
